Oh yes they are. Today, after the christmas tree- thingy I went to the press lunch for Lindex new collection, and I must say that it looked really, really good! I walked away with this nice tee (pic above), a lovely conversation with the press manager and a very full stomach.

Apart from talkning to the lovely Ms Kling I also spoke to a few of my fashion idols here in Sweden, Cia Jansson, fashion editor extraordinaire at swedish Elle and Behnaz Aram, designer at Whyred (and many more cool people that I would like to.. well change life with and that even though I LOVE mine). Anyhow, it's so nice to meet these people and see that you can get rally far and still keep grounded and still be nice to everyone. I want to be like that too.
Now I'm going to do some research on famous red carpet moments, tomorrow I'm going to be interviewed by finnish radio and I better know something spectacular to say about the subject...

And it's wadnesday! Lets celebrate... something. Today I've been to a glamourous christmas tree event to interview a fashion star here in Sweden, Elin Kling (just as I've done before), she is such a nice person with a style d´to die for. And I'm pretty sure she'll go extremely far in the fashionsphere. Did I say that I love my job? I really like meeting interesting people, you learn from each and everyone of them!

Really are two colors that it's difficult to fail with. Yesterday for example I didn't really know what to wear (I was going to a concert with Yelle here in Sthlm) and fter ripping out my intire closet I just took what felt best: black and white. Love that there is such a strong culture about loving black in fashion, and at the same time I find it a bit weird. How can you express wo you are by wearing a moody, dark color all the time (something alot of my fellow students at Fashion History does...). Yepp I do! After work yesterday I met up with the lovely Klara at Strand and we ended up talkning taklning talking about life and more. Very nice. Yesterday we also got the sesult from our first exam back and I must say that i aced it, it came as a pleasant surpsise. Now I'm going to the gym. Hate it but I do love the feeling of strenght you get afterwards, it's worth it. Phu.

Today is going to be a good day! Just like monday and tuesday was. I just have to tell you about two movies I've gone to in the last couple of days, the day before yesterday I brought dear Adam with me to the exclusive (a lot of blog celebrities that is) preview of the documentary about Take That- the biggest boy band ever. It was pretty sweet! Yesterday I met my lovely father for another movie time (don't laugh when I tell you I'll go to Harry Potter tonight too...) and we saw my new favourite movie, "Igelkotten", it was probably the most beautiful movie ever when it comes to tellning a good story. See it.

zara lookbook november 2010Well... my life is really hectic right now, but in a good way! I love to combine working at a magazine writing about fashion and gossip with studying fashion history at the university. I get the best of two worlds, the glamour of going to a premiere and interview a celebrity, with having to do a five page analysis on the male costume in Four wedding and a funeral. Both the more shallow parts of thfashion but also the more intellectual, perfect.
When we're on the subject of perfect I really think this look from Zara is a perfect way to dress on a cold monday, tomorrow that is.

Well...I did so while cleaning the apartment, it really do helps when doing something boring(another thing that helps while cleaning is thinking that it's exercising. Works just fine for me as I NEVER exercise). Anyhow, speaking of raining, I really love the latest ads for the swedish brand Filippa K. The photos are so calm, but still so captivating. I love that they don't seem to try and romanticize the lovely (but sometimes cold and cloudy)autumn in the usually so "bright and brisky, now we're going to have a picninc in a bunch of orange leafs"- kind of way, but in a more depressed (haha), grey way. The photographer is Camilla Åkrans and the beautiful model is Amanda Norgaard. The stylist is one of my favourites, Robert Rydberg.

Yeah, we are going against colder days. Soon the leafs will all be red, the wind will have a new type of freshness and the fashion will be even better then in the hothothot summer months. I must say that I prefere the fall when it comes to dressing as I really do love layering, and knitted sweaters is someting I cannot get enough of... One of my favourite designers is Dries van Noten, a genious when it comes to put togehther colors, and fabrics in a beautiful way. For this fall he created a collection with a few pieces that I would love to wear, especially a really nice, militay green coat!

Phu! Back home today after a crazy weekend at the Way out West festival in Göteborg. I saw the most amazing artist preform, like Wu tang clan, The soundtrack of our lives, The National, Marina and the diamonds, Iggy, LCD Soundsystem... and so many more! Now I am completely finished but this morning I had to get uå early to help with the Stylelin show at the fashion week here in Sthlm. It was so much fun, and I lovelovelove the clothes! I took care of all the changes for superduper model Leona Axelson Ringström (pic above) who opened the show, she really was very beautiful, and perfect for the Styelin look.

Well... kind of at least. This is going to be a regular here on my blog, every week I'll post a photo of my absolute favourite photographer, Richard Avedon. There just is something about his pics that make me want to looka at them over and over again, it's a kid of vitality in them, a joy of life, and still they never look shallow. I just think he is great. So sad he left the planet a couple of years ago...it would have been nice to see him work until the age of 150 years. Or more, some people just got the ability to catch the present, and he certainly had it.

I just saw this pic over at Hanneli's lovely blog. I must say that even though I'm not a particulary big fan of lace (wearing it myself that is, I think it looks good on others haha) I really liked this blouse from Givenchy. It's in some strange way very much transparent even though you don not focus on the skin behind the fabric, but on the beautiful handicraft the piece it self is. That it's haute couture just makes it even better.

Frida Gustafsson looks amazing in this ad for Paul and Joe. Note that she is wearing a fur, one of the biggest trends this year. I doesn't really matter how angry PETA are (or how many times they will crash important fashion shows spilling fake blood all over the place to make us understand how horrible the fur industry is), the fashion world still loves fur. Luckily for all our animal friendly types fake furs are a great option to the real ones. Well, regardles of wearing one of my grandmother's furs from the 50's or my fake leopard one I must say that I like this trend. Especially as I ALWAYS feel like a piece of ice, in a fur even I can feel warm. That's very nice.

Right now I'm sitting in my pretty comfortable chair, drinking coffee, eating Läkerol and planning the interview I'm going to do in an hour or so. It's about long term relationships, and if they aren't as long as they used to be 50 years ago. Very interesting indeed. Anyhow, I really can't say that I'm am totally concentrated only on work today as it's friday and I have fun plans for the evening. I'm thinking about which heels I should put on. Ok, that totally made me sound like a fashion victim without a brain. Lucky for me I can say that I just finished a Sylvia Plath book. That makes me an intellectual fashion victim. Much better.

But if I could choose how to look to night I think I would like to wear something like this. Love Karla's blog, she is one of my favourites and I can't find anything negative to say about her style.

Oh yes she does, not only is she one of the sweetest (and most beautiful) peolpe I know (and a partner in crime when it comes to a lot of things), she is now also the styling assistant to one of the biggest bloggers in Sweden! Signe Siemensen is the face of American Apparel, as well as a stylist deluxe, and her blog is both full of nice pics and great inspiration style wise. To say that I'm proud of my dear Mira is an understatement, she deservs this job so much.

Yesterday I got to interview the hair stylist of the stars Teddy Charles! He was such a nice man, both interesting to talk to and very handsome... I wish he could do my hair every morning. He usually does both editorials, runways as well as stars such as Cameron Diaz and Sarah Jessica Parker. I also spoke to one of the most famous swedish stylist, Tony Lundström, he almost said that I should go and get a proper hair cut. Well, maby I should but Teddy said I didn't need to do anything else then wash it and go. I think Tony is right but I will listen to Teddy.
The job will be published in SOLO later this summer.

Keep it clean

We all know that some days dressing up in a patterned baby doll dress really isn't on the map. Some days we just want to dress plain and simple, and the choice usually falls on (the life saver black. I do love that dark color but sometimes it just feels as if it makes me a bit depressed and therefore I try to chose light colors, such as white or my all time favourite colors that never makes me look bad: nude, white and beige (and no, nude and beige is not the same thing!).This is really a nice way of dressing, to not use that many colors but still keep it a bit fun with the help of nicely cutted pieces of clothing. I really like the bell formed skirt from Celine (spring 2010), and combined with that simple white shirt I actually think it looks a bit girly but still quite mature in a sexy way.
This is for the brave virgin. Stefano Pilati has given a new meaning to white. Kind of.

Best internship ever

This is insane. This was the first day as an intern at the big fashion/life style magazine SOLO, and I got the task to do an inteview with the biggest style blogger in Sweden, Elin Kling. So tomorrow I'll first watch a shoot with her and than ask her a bunch of questions. It will be so much fun and a bit nerv wracking. But it's above all a great chance to show that I'm a good writer (and I'll hopefully get published in a big magazine too...). Jimmy Hansen is the photographer and the styling will the great Columbinne Smille stand for. It's not a joke when I say that I do feel a bit of angst about what the f**k I'm going to wear tomorrow. My guess is that it will be black though. It always works.

... is pretty difficult, but the famous model Dovima succeded. The, in her time, highest paid model was discovered by a Vogue editor (a plan of mine too) and was booked to a photoshoot with the legendary Irving Penn the following day. After that she worked with many photographers but it was Richard Alvedon who took the picture she would be best remembered for. It was taken in 1955 at the Cirque d'hiver in Paris. The dress is quite amazing and actually the first designed by Yves Saint Laurent for the house of Dior.

The Selby

The Selby really is my favourite blog about interior design, and that not only because of the fact that he has taken a few great pics of King Karl... Anyway, I'm almost always more into fashion than furniture, or interior (and I find that blogs about the latter often get quite impersonal), but when I start looking at the photos at the Selby I find it quite difficult not to like them, or to not find inspiration. The photographer really captivates the personalities, and the personal style of the ones living in the houses or apartments, and he makes it look just amazing regardless of it being in a rough studio on Manhattan or a country house in the Hamptons.
These are two pics from Philippe and Jasmine Starcks' home and I think their style is great. It's fun, colorful, and creative but still in some strange way quite minimalistic too, an odd but quite wonderful combination. It's really warm in Stockholm today so my dear friend Adam (nicest guy there is?)went around town with the mission to find him a shirt to wear on a very special occasion. We did not find one and after a lot of thought he decided to buy a black bow tie instead (to wear with a checked shirt). I must say that's something I love on a guy, it makes me like him almost instantly.

This is a pic from our beloved Scott aka the Sartorialist and it's a good proof that girls can wear bow ties and look both sophisticated and sexy in a quirky way. Like that.

Dorian Leigh is a new face to me. Strange because she is an icon worth knowing. Dorian (1917- 2008) was one of the very first models receiving attention from the public, and that thanks a lot to the beautiful fashion pictures taken of her to different fashionmags, by photo gods Richard Alvedon and Irving Penn. Why not read more about this woman with subtitle yet approaching appearance. To google her is a good advice from me.

I'm also just graduating form Berghs School of communication in Stockholm, it's been fun but I've discovered that adevertising is not really my forte so this fall I'll start studying fashion history instead,something I really look forward to.

I guess that a lot of us probably thinks about that parfume ad that's been on everybodys' lips the last couple of weeks when we think of our dear Mr Jacobs, but I must say that I would rather focus on his collection for fall 2010. There are a few things there I really would like to have in my closet. It might not be my favourite collection of his, but if you take a few pieces from it I think you can really get something out from it. Like a great outfit. I really would like to have a dress that looks like this one (the original might be a bit over my budget...) as it is simple and modern, but still a bit fun. And it's black an white, do I really have to say more?

Hallo. It's been a while since I wrote here and a lot of things has happend. Now I feel like writing again and this time it will be a bit more about everything. I'll start with posting one of my absolute favourite looks from spring 2010.
Acne really is a brand on the move to become one of the great, modern fashion houses that others look at for inspiration and I must say that the fashion world here in Sweden would be a bit boring without them. Just look at those pants for example.
With that said, hope you'll enjoy my blog again, I sure have read a lot of good ones even though I've been bad at posting my self.

I just love her great tailored clothes in soft colors as well as prints and black. It is just prefect for early spring here in Sweden when it's still cold and snowy. The new favorite of mine is Ivana Helsiniki from Finland. As always I have fallen for a designer who makes wearable clothes.

Yes, for many of us a genuine jacket, or why not a 2. 55 bag, is a dream worth fighting for. We all know that Coco Chanel started the legendary house, and that Karl Lagerfeldt now keeps on making it one of the world's most devine. Chanel is always ultrafeminine, with great tayloring, coulors worth dying for and it has that air of elegance we all want a piece of.
To watch a Chanel runwayshow is like watching a dreamworld, you just want to wear that jacket, slip in to that chiffon dress and then go out and show it to the world (even if I probably wouldn't dare to move one inch in any direction, I'd be so afraid of breaking it or spilling something on it).

To show you what I mean I'm going to show a few of the most beautiful creations from the haute couture house of Chanel. If you don't like it I seriously think you should think again, and then again until you realise that this is design worth killing for. Not that I think tou should do so, but I'm pretty sure someone have...

Ps. The strange thing is that even when I don't really like the design I still think the outfits look wonderful. I have given that a bit of thought and come to the conclusion that it is because the fabrics always are of the best quality and the handicraft is made with such supreme delicacy. It's unbeatable.

I guess you probably haven't missed the new collection of couture for spring 2009 but if you have, congratulations, you can look at it now! And just not look, you can dream of being Cinderella, or a superwoman dressed for an important evening, or it could be you dressed for the pram night. I know I would want one at mine in a couple of months.This is a really good example of great couture that is not only about a evening gown size extra large. You can dress up in a great coat and still look like fivehundred milion dollars. I mean, look at the fabric! I must add that I'm very glad this greyish coulor is still popular on the runway, it makes most people look fresh and clean. Great.

He dressed the woman that became one of the most important when it comes to female fashion, Oleg Cassini made clothes for Jaqueline Kennedy. The debonair who moved from from Florence, where he grew up, to the US 1936. He became a debonair, a social and something of a player, dating stars like Grace Kelly, Ursula Andress and he married Gene Tierney who helped his career a lot by wearing his design in all of her films until their divorce in 1952.
It's because of Mrs Kennedys' choice of making him the White House Couturier 1960 that we need to thank thank for a lot of pieces we still admire, and see as classics, today. He created the pillerbox, oversized buttons, the carefully tailored suits Jaqueline wore so many times. Cassini designed around 300 outfits for the first lady which makes him one of the really great designers in the history of American fashion.

I love fashion, I really do and someday I want to wear couture from Christian Lacroix and Chanel. This is from fall 2008 and I can't wait to see what they will come up with this year!
Both houses really make the most exquisite clothes, the outfits breaths perfection even when they are not that nice. Perhaps that's the thrill with couture, it looks great just because you know the time spent on it is so long and the pieces are made by hand with delicacy. Couture is about dreaming of beauty, time and it allows a woman to feel unique and special.

I wonder if you're a bad person if one of your goals in life is to someday be able to buy your very own couture. There is nothing wrong with dreaming, I know, but sometimes it does feel a bit shallow wanting to have amazing clothes when young children are starving. It really is a diffucult thing to decide where to draw the line between overconsumption and just wanting to look nice. Hm... I will give this a thought I think..

To do something new and creative can be a difficult thing to do, and to do it in a fashionable way can be even harder. Perhaps that's why a lot of the top fashioneditors and bloggers seam to absolutely love Maison Martin Margiela's new collection for this spring. The house is celebrating it's 20th- anniversary and showed a few of his most memorable pieces, like a jacket from 1988, which ofcourse is supertrendy now since the eighties with it's shoulder pads is going to be big (and trendy) this season too. Margiela really is a trendsetter and if you look back at collections from his earlier years you understand that other designers often remake and interpret his design, making it their own. Margiela might not always be easy to wear (I mean, who would like o go to a party wearing... hair?) he really is designer that fascinate me!

If it only were a bit hotter outside this is definitely an outfit perfect for going around looking at the art of the street, clothes. I love flowerprints and I'm so happy the trend will continue this spring too. Flowersprints are so full of versatility, they can be bold, feminine and simply just a bit of spice to an otherwise boring outfit. Perhaps one could match this outfit from a.p.c. with a leatherjacket in order to give it just a little bit more edge. On the other hand, that is what everyone would do, it's no longer very original to combine femininity with a more rock n' roll style..

... Because both colors is always right for fashion. I love wearing black, it really is a color I always feel confident in, no matter what I do or who I'm suppose to meet. Black is THE fashioncolor, just look at al the top fashionistas. A theory of mine is that they wear black for the same reason many of us do, wearing a pair of black pants and a jacket you cannot be wrong. You're always in and being in the public fashioneye that's quite important...

And this summer a complete outfit from Erin Fetherston wouldn't be completely wrong to have hanging in the closet. Fetherston made a collection including things I wouldn't want to wear ever and things I simply adored, like this outfit that is so perfect for an evening i may, sitting together with someone you like having a drink or a glass of lemonade. As always, I'm drawn to the simplicity and the fact that this is so easy to wear. This is what I want to call dressing smart.

Here in Sweden we celebrated, and got the lovely gifts, yesterday but since the rest of the world is a bit after (haha..) I thought I'd wish you all a very merry Christmas today. And give you a tip for a movie to watch in the days between all the partying. White Christmas is a musical with Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney and Vera- Ellen. It's a lovely movie, not only for the clothes... The music is perfect for this holiday and even though it's a quite cheesy oldie (from 1954) I really like it in some strange kind of way. Go and rent it because it's so perfect for a day in the sofa to tired of eating to much.

Christmas is really close now and all the parties around new year too. That demands new clothing ...or to be precise, I guess non of us really needs a new pair of killer heels or a silky chiffondress, we just want it because it makes us feel good to rip of the pricetag, pull on the new blouse and go out in the night, knowing that we are wearing a new thing that no one has ever seen you in. If I had the money (someday I will win the lottery...) a dress from Elie Saab's spring collection would be high on my purchaselist. In this one, just to take an example from a pretty good collection, you definitely would be in the center of attention. You would be like a little, shining star, sparkling your way through the night. Pretty good for a night full of adventures...

The sales is also coming up and that really is a trap for those with already a wardrobe size XXXL. For me last year was the first time when I did not buy everything nice i saw, just a few pieces followed me home and that felt good! Perhaps we all should think a bit more on nit buying everything, just the stuff we really need. with that said I still think you can buy that wonderful, just amazing dress even if it's too expensive. Just don't do it every time. Once a week is more than enough...

... and then I have to look fashionable. Since I hate all forms of physical (ok, not all forms...) training I must have something that makes me actually want to go to the gym. Hot guys in tracksuits isn't enough. So I have to rely on nice clothes. And hope that a pair of too expensive trousers will make my nonexistence ass look a bit fuller. I hope I'll gain a few pound in muscle too... It's quite irritating to never be asked to help carrying things when someone moves, just because I'm to weak haha..

Acne

Since my camera still isn't working I just have to show you in other ways what I want to wear. This is perhaps the style I like the most. Black and dark blue (my favorite colors... among many) always looks great on everybody. This is from Acne (not the collection with Lanvin) and I love it. Simple but nice, classic but not boring, prefect.

I'm always told not to do anything. I've tried being blond but it just made me look as if I had put my head in a bucket of old, greasy and very yellow paint. I've tried to chop my hair of in a "I want to look like a tomboy" kind of way. It didn't work. I looked to much like a boy, and not a very feminine one... I can't wear red lipstick, I tend to look like a clown. I don't want to loose weight, I hate exercising and I'm not that good at making interesting hairstyles. But still, I want a change in my appearance! I guess you all know the feeling, if one could we probably would change our outside (not speaking about clothes here...) every time we see a lovely haircut on someone else. I always feel this way when I have to much boring to think about (read school and weird relationships).

But why am I writing this here. Well...hm... I don't know. But you all seam like very reasonable, cleaver persons and since everybody in my precence thinks I should stay the way I am, can't you be so nice and suggest something fun that I could do with my looks? I would be very grateful!

This woman has made so much for making fashion into the form of art it is today. Elsa Schiaparelli designed at the same time as another icon, Coco Chanel but the difference between those two are quite big to say the least. When Chanel designed easy to wear clothes in soft and comfortable fabrics, Elsa did unusual, almost strange, chocking garments. The colorful buttons, sometimes a bit strange prints (I guess you have seen the famous dress with a lobster...) and new types of accessories were invented by her. She designed chic clothes and were very inspired, and influenced, by people like Salvador Dali and Jean Cocteau.

The legacy after her is important, she made fashion into art by adding playfulness to both textures, colors and shapes. She said that anything can work in fashion. And I'm pretty sure that this is something some of our most experimental designers listen to. Just look at John Galliano, Gareth Pugh and Vivianne Westwood...

On Thursday there is a party for all the students who graduate this spring. The theme is said to be the Ocean. Weird as hell since it's really cold outside and the ocean just feels very far away. Probably the reason why the committee felt the need to have it. Stupid. But I'm sure it'll be fun. Otherwise I'll make it so.
Anyhow, this dress is from my beloved HM (all swedes are so proud of the store from our country...) and I'm thinking about wearing it to the party. I mean, it's blue = water and it has things hanging from the fabric = could be seaweed.. or something..

What do you think? I'll probably wear a pair of black tights with it. And, if I feel like I'll be able to walk properly, a pair of high heels.

Donatella always succeeds with doing things that feels wearable but never boring. There is something for everyone in every collection. Or at least sometimes. Perhaps Versace is a house for those who believe in themselves and want to show that to the world. Or it's the exact opposite, perhaps the clothes (especially the dresses) are for those who need a boost of confidence. Hm. A thing to think about. Or not if you have better things to do. Which I hope you have.

... I don't think I would wear this dress. Perhaps I'd go for something more discreet. But since this is haute couture from Giambattista Valli (spring 09 collection) what else can you expect?

Giambattista always makes fashion with amazing silhouettes, luxurious fabrics and beautiful colours. This year the spring collection showed wearable dresses, as well as big evening gowns swooping the runway with thousand of sher layers. Valli creates clothes, and shoes that look like it could pop out of a painting, perhaps that is why he always attracts the top fashionistas; they know that they will look good without having to poor on expensive jewels from Tiffany (of course they do that anyway, but you get the point). Vali once said that he always makes a new collection with a specific woman in mind. I assure you that I'm going to be that person before i turn 30. A reachable goal? Of course!

Some of the pre- fall collections are here.That makes Style.com the perfect place to spend a few hours. Looking in the runwayshows I always get inspired. Most of the collections were good, even though some of them actually quite boring. But I found my inspiration, and I wanted to share them with you to see if you think I'm somewhere close to thinking right...

This one is from Rachel Ray and I must say that outfit really feels as if I could wear it tomorrow. I like everything and! Oh, I must go home and look in my closet to see if there is something that make me look likee that on the debate in school tomorrow! Perhaps it will be good to wear that while trying to pretend being " an atheist who wants to remove everything religious in school". Thank's a lot teacher. At least with this outfit I would be a bit cool.

A dress from Narciso Rodriguez. It's quite a simple one, and would be perfect to wear on Christmas Eve for example. I like the fact that it's so easy to wear even though the colour is pretty strong. If I were a brunette (hm, just remembered I am) Iwould wear it and look very cute so that Santa Clause decides I really need more money, in order to buy more lovely dresses. Hm, perhaps it's time to write a wish-list, just to be prepered when he slides down from the roof.

This is what I would like to wear when going out shopping. Ok, I know the heels are a bit high and that I wouldn't be able to walk one meter but you can dream. And I have already started to practise. It's going... not so good. I look like a duck most of the time. But at least the walk is an entertainment to others!

The outfit comes from Burberry Prorsum and I must say thet their collection was really good! Expensive-looking trenches as always, nice dark coulors and a few really cool dresses, printed with digitalized images fom a Baroque etching Christpher Baily apperently found in an antique shop. That last thing made me a bit more friendly to the fact that my father buys tons of etchings all the time. Perhaps Chris want one with a cow standing by a small pig?

It's a tradition here in Sweden to wear white on your graduation day. I' m just a few (it's in June) months away from the freedom to decide what I want to do. Something I'm looking forward to ... Up until today I never had given the dress on that particular day a thought, but after becoming a member of the ball committee I now think it's time to start looking. The dress have to be special and since it has to be white, hm, I need to find it before someone else takes it. I mean I'm not the only girl wanting one. But if I buy one from Andrew Gn I'm pretty sure I would be alone about that dress in my town...

I can't say I'm very happy for the tradition being a white dress, I would prefer if it were black. I look so much better in that... Perhaps I could wear this one, so nice with the gold!

Beauty, what's that?

Yes, that is quite a hard question to answer. Beauty is said to be in the eye of the beholder but in our vain time the eye seams to be the whole society we live in. Everyday we see these beautiful women looking down at us from the shelf full of magazines focusing on our appearance. And I find nothing wrong with that, I think that beauty is about being so certain of yourself that you know that one doesn't have to look like the girls on Vogue teen's front page. A woman standing, looking in a magazine thinking about how beautiful the models are, should think of that instead and realize that beauty is a thing we should appreciate, not feel bad about because we don't look the same. Just being who you are will give you the inner beauty that will shine through and make your outside look beautiful

Of course beauty has something to do with the outside, and genetics too, but I think that when you stop complaining about what you haven't got and start believing when people say your are beautiful others will find you even more attractive. So just stop disrespecting yourself and the beautiful you will shine.

Consequently, first you have to start thinking positive then the whole world will be at your feet. And that has nothing to do with your outside. Perhaps just a little.

My friends, at the moment I'm feeling a bit down. Not in the depressed kind of way, more the I HAVE A SUPERCOLD THAT WON'T LEAVE MY BODY. But that's okey, I have nooo problem with being lazy, sitting in my sofa, thinking about studying but instead drinking tea and eating hallonkräm (raspeberrycream haha). The only problem is that the total access I have to my computor. You see, I tend to find way to many beautiful clothes that I want to buy. And it makes me very stessed out because in order to afford the I have to study. And it's quite complicated to read about advertising at the same time as analyzing a dress. But I'll keep on trying and here you got some nice things you can get stuck looking at. Or you could turn off the computor and study. Bad idea, I know.

These metallic dresses comes from Collete Dinnigan and are exactly what I would like to party in this year or inthe evening celebrating new year. Metallic is an easy way to look fashionable without having to exeggerate to much, a dress like this doesn't require any accessorize. That sounds good to me, if I put on a necklace I always look lika a frog. Colette's ready to wear collection for spring 2009 has been criticised for being almost to commercial, never a good thing in fashion, but I must say that some of the dresses were really nice and these two I'd buy in a minute. That's why I probably should go and open that schoolbook now...

... and I must say that the collections are even better now when Alessandra Facchinetti has taken over. For this spring she thinks we should look feminine yet sofisticated. A good intention since Valentiono is famous for being the rich women's favorite for lunch as well as they love wearing his design at fancy dinnerparty.

Last year Valentino Garavani left the hose with his name after almost a lifetime in buisness. His first collection was presented 1962 and Jaqueline Kennedy, who we all know was a very rich lady who probably lunched from time to time, became one of his buyers. Other rich ladies followed and it didn't take long before his design started to win prices and he will forever be remembered as one of them who made "made in Italy" to what it is today. Women loved his design not just because it made them feel stong but because the embroderies and fabrics were beautiful to watch. A very good thing if you lunchdate is a total bore.

Or at least one of them. Versace has made a new ready to wear collection for spring. This dress is the one that captive the trends we have to look forward to in a couple of months, or now if your are a true fashionista. This spring the dresses should be short, a belt can lift a complete outfit and florals are a print used even more then they were this years summer. The colours are pale with elements of flashy, stong ones. I feel that this year you can wear most colours as long as you combine it with the right accessorize. As always a lot of designers choose the safe way and let their models walk down the runway in soft grey or dark black clothes draped over the body. Drapes will be big, think toga!

When you are seriously thinking about going out naked...

... because there is NOTHING in your warderobe that you can possibly wear. That nice white cardigan with black dots? Nope, to noticeable. The new pair of high waisted jeans that everyone say lift your ass to new dimensions? No, they make me feel fat. That blue dress with a leatherbelt? Oh no! I can't wear that today. Why? Because I just don't feel like it.

This is a conversation I have with myself a lot of times, what to wear? I know that I actually have a warderobe many would like to get their hands on (a few, including a sister twice my lenght, already tried and occasionally succeeded, resulting in me taking her sweaters and then the war has started). But even though you know that the problem with having nothing to wear, can be compared with having a really bad hairday, you still can't manage to get the feeling that everything you put on is just wrong out of your head. I've had big problems with changing my outfits a million times, it even went so far that I was bullied for it by my friends. Thats why I decided to change it (so that I wouldn't continue beeing tstressed out and depressed when it came to the thing I love the most, clothes) and I am very proud to say that I've made it! Or at least when it comes to weakdays...

Since I'm such a nice person I'm going to share a few tips and hopefully they will help you too. If you still feel bad about choosing outfits, I suggest therapy.

1. Wear the thing that you first thought of. That outfit is usually the one you later wish you were wearing. At least for me that is the case with most of my morningtrubbles. Or it was when I had those terrible headaches caused by clothes...

2. Look in Vogue, take the first article with outfit suggestions (there always are a lot of styletips if you had not noticed hihi). Then choose a look you want to go for and take the things in your warderobe (or in your mother, father och sisters) and imitate the picture as good as you can. You will definetly look fashionable.

3. Decide your outfit the evening before. Neverever stand in the morning thinking about what to put on. In the mornings we (at least most normal people) are tired and our braincapacity is not on the level it usually is. That's why you should have those problems the evening before...

4. This is my best tip: WEAR BLACK! It is always trendy. About that there is nothing more to say.

This is typical for Chanel. Black powersuits for the modern woman. A theme that keeps coming back in new, reinvented versions. The pink one just shows a killeroutfit doesn't have to be black, you can look feminine and strong at the same time. That's pretty much what Chanel is all about I think, to show us women at the top of our game without feeling the need to exaggerate.

Dorian Leigh is a new face to me. Strange because she is an icon worth knowing. Dorian (1917- 2008) was one of the very first models receiving attention from the public, and that thanks a lot to the beautiful fashion pictures taken of her to different fashionmags, by photo gods Richard Alvedon and Irving Penn. Why not read more about this woman with subtitle yet approaching appearance. To google her is a good advice from me.

Now its my turn and just to make reading blogs a bit more educating for you I decided to write in english. or just because it's more educating for me, hm. Or just because it's more fun than our boring swedish.
